Stone Walls Stone wall Stone walls are much stronger than wooden walls, and also allow archers to be placed on top of them without the need for platforms. To completely enclose the castle, a gatehouse (either wooden or stone) is required. Walls require stone from the stockpile. The base cost of a single tile of Stone Wall is 100 stone.

To build stone walls in a village castle, Fortification Level 3 must be researched.

To build stone walls in a capital castle, the Architects' Guild must be placed.

Stone Wall Block Stone wall block Stone walls can also be clicked and dragged out in rectangular sections. Doing so will create large sections of walls and fill in any gaps between structures. If the wall section turns red when trying to place it, this is because placing the wall would completely enclose the castle which requires a gatehouse.
Lookout Tower Stone tower1 The smallest of the stone towers, the lookout tower is harder to destroy than stone walls. Up to four (4) archers may be placed on top of a lookout tower. Lookout towers require stone from the stockpile. The base cost of a Lookout Tower is 300 stone.

To build lookout towers in a village castle, Fortification Level 4 must be researched.

To build lookout towers in a capital castle, the Architects' Guild must be upgraded.

TIP: Stone towers may not be placed directly adjacent to other stone towers or gatehouses - there must be a wall between them.

Small Tower Stone tower2 Slightly larger, the small tower is harder to destroy than stone walls or lookout towers. Up to nine (9) archers may be placed on top of a small tower. Small towers require stone from the stockpile. The base cost of a Small Tower is 800 stone.

To build small towers in a village castle, Fortification Level 5 must be researched.

To build small towers in a capital castle, the Architects' Guild must be upgraded.

Stone Gatehouse Stone gatehouse Gatehouses allow defending troops to pass through and attack troops outside the walls. Without a gatehouse, the castle cannot be fully enclosed with walls or a moat. A path to the keep is required, and gatehouses act as part of the path. Multiple gatehouses may be placed. Gatehouses require stone from the stockpile. The base cost of a Stone Gatehouse is 500 stone.

To build stone gatehouses in a village castle, Fortification Level 6 must be researched.

To build stone gatehouses in a capital castle, the Architects' Guild must be upgraded.

Large Tower Stone tower3 The second largest tower is harder to destroy than stone walls or lookout towers. Up to 16 archers may be placed on top of a large tower. Large towers require stone from the stockpile. The base cost of a Large Tower is 1,500 stone.

To build large towers in a village castle, Fortification Level 7 must be researched.

To build large towers in a capital castle, the Architects' Guild must be upgraded.

Great Tower Stone tower4 The largest tower is harder to destroy than stone walls or lookout towers. Up to 25 archers may be placed on top of a great tower. Great towers require stone from the stockpile. The base cost of a Great Tower is 2,500 stone.

To build great towers in a village castle, Fortification Level 8 must be researched.

To build great towers in a capital castle, the Architects' Guild must be upgraded.
