Overview
Religion, and more precisely, Faith Points, in Stronghold Kingdoms are vital for using Monks, which can be used for a variety of roles throughout the game. There are various religious buildings that can be built in both the player's village and capitals.
Faith Points
Faith points are used almost like a resource. Faith Points are required to carry out the monks many roles in the same way as honour is used during attacks on other players.
To gain points you will need to research Theology and place religious buildings, which require further research.

Religious Buildings
Religious Buildings
There are five types of religious buildings: Small Shrines, Large Shrines, Chapels, Churches and Cathedrals. These buildings are used for generating faith points, which monks use when performing actions in the world. Each building must be researched before it can be placed. The research for these buildings is found in the education tab under Theology.
Religious Research
Religious Research begins with Theology, which starts the production of Faith Points for your villages. Further research opens up other features, such as more advanced religious buildings and different Monk actions.
